Parkside Chess King Crowned

Hard fought chess final completes club tournament.

This term a chess club has been running on a Friday lunchtime. Lead by Mrs Broderick, several pupils have been developing their knowledge of the popular strategy game. They have been taking part in a weekly tournament, with the final being contested between Owen and Jake, both of class 6K. After a hard fought game, the victory and congratulations went to Owen who was presented with a gold medal by Mrs Broderick. Well done also to Jake who received a silver medal.
